It had barely rolled off President Obama’s lips that ISIS was being contained and certainly was not growing stronger, when we learned about the terrorist attack on Paris. Of course, he did not say they were no longer a threat. Our president has shown weakness in military strategy, not just against ISIS but across the board. If his lack of competency isn’t enough, Sen. Bernie Sanders still believes global warming is the greatest threat to our national security, more dangerous than terrorists.
What is going on with these peoples’ minds? Have they been hijacked by aliens? I’m being funny but some of the things which come out of their mouths, certainly makes one wonder. Some liberals even blame the rise of terrorism on climate change.
If I could actually corner a terrorist and have a conversation, I can assure you there will not be any environmental issues in the discussion.
It was only recently that Congress learned that Syrian refugees were arriving in Louisiana, and have been over the past two years. A warning was issued by the House Homeland Security Committee as they are concerned that the current lack of reliable intelligence on the ground in Syria makes it difficult to determine with any certainty who is entering the United States. This means some of these refugees could be connected to ISIS or other terrorist groups. The Paris attacks made it even more important that we suspend any importation of refugees into our country at this particular time.
Obama’s administration has promised to accept as many as 100,000 refugees each year by the end of 2017. Vetting these refugees coming into our country is almost impossible, and as the FBI told Congress this summer, records are “nearly non-existent”. Even with the Terrorist Screening Center that the FBI is trying to instigate, there is no guarantee that a way won’t be found around any controls which are set.
I have said from the beginning that opening our doors to the refugees was the perfect Trojan horse scenario. I also want to remind you that Paris was a no gun zone. Had guns been allowed, there may have been fewer deaths in this attack. When you know you could meet resistance you are not quite as eager to attack.
Michael Steinback, Assistant Director for the FBI, told the House Homeland Security Committee that the situation is not even close to being under control. Homeland Security doesn’t even sound confident that they are being kept up to date by the Obama administration.
We can’t even take care of our own citizens and we are trying to overrun them with refugees from Syria. It’s not that I don’t have sympathy for what they are going through, you just have to use common sense which is in limited supply these days. We cannot feed all of these people; we do not have jobs for these people and our healthcare system cannot take care of that kind of influx. And I certainly don’t think they deserve all of this for free. There are many in our country, myself included, who are overwhelmed by medical bills when they have a surgery or have to visit the emergency room.
And if all of that wasn’t bad enough, the Paris attacks make it even more obvious that we should put the brakes on allowing refugees here unless we want to bring such attacks here.
“The Paris terrorist attacks in Paris have confirmed beyond doubt that for Barack Obama to allow 100,000 Syrian ‘refugees’ to come to our shores and spread out across the country is nothing short of national suicide.” – Colonel Richard F. (“Dick”) Brauer Jr. USAF, (Ret.)
Several governors have come forth and said they will not accept refugees. All of them should make that stance for the safety of their citizens. In fact, it should come from the top — our president — but we all know that is not going to happen.
France responded by launching air-strikes against Syria, declaring war on ISIS. They have yet to invoke Article 5 of the NATO Mutual Defense Treaty which compels all NATA members, including the USA, to fight alongside France against ISIS.
If France does invoke Article 5, this could be the beginning of WWIII. Russia is defending Syria at the request of Syrian President Bashar Assad so when NATO has to fight with France against ISIS, that will mean going into Syria. No one knows how Russia will react. Will Russia relent and let NATO attack or will they see this as a disguise to unseat Assad? If they do not relent they will be battling NATO which means World War.
And if we think such attacks could not happen here, we are just hiding our heads in the sand and being short sighted.
Should war break out, the U.S. may need to think about interning Muslims here like they did with the Japanese after the Pearl Harbor attack. That would not only be for our protection but for theirs as well. If you think that sounds cruel, then you don’t realize the seriousness of the current situation and the audacity of the Muslim religion. We cannot continue on our present course of action if we want to save our country and prevent such attacks. It is going to take a much heavier hand than the Obama administration has so far exhibited. Like Todd Beamer on flight 93 during 9/11 who said “Let’s roll!” It’s time to roll!©2015
