Not long after President Trump announced they would investigate those states with excessive number of COVID-19 deaths and find out if those deaths were really due to the virus, the numbers started to be adjusted.  This morning the CDC adjusted theirs and it has almost been cut in half. You believer whatever you want to believe, but I believe we’re being played — big time. 

But, let’s not talk about the virus anymore. I’m certainly tired of the debate back and forth and I’m sure you are too.

One of the issues going on right now, is with General Michael Flynn. Such a travesty and it makes we disgusted even more with some of those running our country, now or previously, who claim they care about justice and our country. The Flynn debacle certainly disproves that fact.

In case you have no idea about this, General Flynn was retired US Army and briefly served as the National Security Adviser to President Donald Trump. Flynn had a prestigious military record and was a war hero. He resigned after information surved he had misled the Vice President and the FBI about the nature and content of his communications with the Russian Ambassador to the United States. He was coerced into a guilty plea and his family threatened if he did not comply.

If you think this can’t happen, then you haven’t watched any cop shows where they coerce people into signing confessions and then it is found out later, sometimes years and after prison time, they were actually innocent.

The newly released documents show corruption that is so despicable it is almost hard to believe and definitely hard to accept. Along with the documents which Judge Sullivanordered to produce, were found handwritten notes stating the fact, they intended to get him fired or make him resign. The four-page document which his legal team failed to reveal at the beginning (he has since changed firms) shows corruption at the highest levels of the FBI. Amazingly the former legal team discovered more than 6,800 additional pieces of information they say they inadvertently failed to provide to new counsel Sidney Powell when she took over the case. Judge Sullivan ordered the former counsel to do an exhaustive search for any missed information. 

There are detail instructions on how to “ambush”  Flynn during interviews.  James Comey is on video bragging about taking advantage of the inexperience of the Trump administration in order to get Flynn without going through the normal channels.

The handwritten notes, which are believed to be from FBI former head of counterintelligence Bill Priestap after meeting with then FBI Director James Comey and then FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe, suggests that agents planned in the alternative to get Flynn “to admit to breaking the Logan Act” when he spoke to the Russian Ambassador. This conversation took place during the presidential transition period. 

The Logan Act is an obscure statute that has never been used in a criminal prosecution; enacted in 1799 in an era before telephones, it was intended to prevent individuals from falsely claiming to represent the United States government abroad. 

The notes seems to be weighing the pros and cons of different paths to take. They even discussed taking a route of playing by the book.  However, they determined: “If we’re seen as playing games, WH [White House] will be furious.” 

There are other players in this fiasco such as Lisa Page, James Baker and Peter Strzok but it can get too confusing about who is who in the space here so I’ll try to just stick to the pertinent players and facts.

They tried to set him up for perjury but that didn’t work so they offered him a deal: they would leave his son alone if he made a plea deal to a crime he didn’t commit.

Flynn’s attorneys are now seeking to have the plea withdrawn and as more and more is revealed in this case, it seems it should be. He should be completely exonerated. Someone has suggested that President Trump pardon him, but I think he should be exonerated. Otherwise the swamp rats would not easily let it go and would never let the President live it down. 

Some of the documents have redacted parts and a lot of redacted names. 

Powell, Flynn’s new attorney said in an interview on Fox News, because of these new documents, the entire persecution “will have to be thrown out entirely.” More eye-opening documents are reportedly to be forthcoming

So, as we wait for further documents and to see the final outcome, General Flynn lost his home and finances. His name was slandered. 

Vice President Mike Pence said he was deeply troubled by what appears to have been investigative abuse by officials in the Justice Department. He said they would be looking into it very closely based on everything he’s seen  so far, General Flynn should be exonerated. He also said Flynn was a fine man.

Additionally, he said what happened to General Flynn should never be allowed to happen in this country again. I agree with him. It is almost too hard to wrap your head around the fact that the FBI would ever even consider doing something like this to anyone. And, like someone said, if they did this to him, what would they do to every day citizens.

While I am not a conspiracy theorist generally, it makes me wonder how much more is going on. There has been a call to drain the swamp. Such revelations makes it even more important to do so. We cannot allow government to run roughshod over people just because they don’t agree with their politics. This is still America after all, I thought. Are you awake yet?
