We find ourselves in a new year, a new decade and a new century. No matter how last year treated you, a new year gives you the chance to begin again. 

Put the past behind you, learn from mistakes and move forward. God’s mercies are new every day which means we can begin again each day no matter how miserably we might have failed the day before.

Last year did not begin well for the newspaper. Used to be we could predict what each month was going to be like from the previous year. That is no longer the case, as it has become impossible to predict so we are having to learn to roll with the flow of what each month brings.

Thank the good Lord the last quarter of the month pretty much made up for the rest of the year and for that we are eternally grateful.

None of us know what this year 2020 will bring. We do know there will be a presidential election of gigantic proportions. America’s future existence depends entirely on who is elected.

I cannot for the life of me see how anyone with half a brain and the ability to think for themselves, could actually support the current list of Democratic candidates. They are all about destroying our country, giving everything away for free, and turning us into a new world order socialistic country. The only way to prevent that is at the ballot box.

You see when something is given away for free by the government, someone, somewhere is having to pay for it and it falls on the backs of the taxpayers. Nothing in life is free, ever, except for salvation and in reality it comes with a price of constantly trying to become more Christ like.

So no matter how good it may sound out of a politician’s mouth, you can be sure there is more to the picture that they are not telling you. They say what they think people want to hear and most have their own personal agenda. Part of that agenda for the Democrats is keeping the wealth to themselves and making the citizenry more dependent on them.

Be assured, no one wins when it comes to socialism other than the elite. Why does no one question how these politicians became millionaires while in office? If you search deep enough you will discover the evilness which lies in their hearts.

They are against closed borders yet have gated fences around their own homes. They are against guns (because we can’t stop them if we are unarmed), yet they have armed guards. Makes no sense to me, how some people follow them blindly. Thank goodness, I do believe some people are waking up to what’s really going on around us.

We have to put a stop to them at the ballot box. I’m sorry if I offend anyone but Sanford Bishop is one of those who needs to go. He voted along partisan lines to impeach the President and there are no real concrete facts, only hearsay. That to me negates any good he may have done. I want someone who can stand on their own two feet.

A friend of mine, Vivian Childs has announced she will challenge him. Thank you Jesus! She is not only a wonderful person whom I’ve known for many years, she has Christian values and will do what’s best for her constituents, no matter what.  So let’s show up at the ballot box in 2020 and let our voices be heard.
