Moving America forward is a priority

I just could not bring myself to do it. Watch the DNC that is. Why would I want to listen to a party that kills babies and wants to take away your second amendment rights. They will not condemn the rioting; blocked Trump every way they could when he was trying to do something about the pandemic, yet say it is all his fault. Last time I checked, he was nowhere near a China lab.

They have done nothing constructive the last four years but try and remove Trump from office. Makes no sense to me, except for the fact they hate Trump so much, they will destroy our country to stop him.

Just what little I did read about it and what others posted, was depressing and in these days and times, that’s certainly something I don’t need in my life. Taking God out of the pledge of allegiance is something they will be judged for. Yes, I realize the original version did not include it but it has been there since 1956 and should have been from the beginning in my opinion.

I will watch some of the RNC though. Just the opening was exciting and upbeat and I can use more of that in my life.  Some people have given me grief for my support of him, but it’s not really about him as a person. It’s what he as a leader has and continues to do for the American people. I vote for the person most closest to my  morals and ethics.

His past does not matter, just as yours or mine does not to God. I’m sure none of us would want our past to be brought up before the whole world. Regardless of what anyone thinks of him or whether or not you think he should quit tweeting, surely you have to realize he loves America above all else. He is not perfect and none of us are.

But if you believe in God, you know that God places and disposes of people in positions of leadership.

I cannot believe how much criticism and how many personal attacks he has faced and is still standing. I say I couldn’t do it, but if God puts you in that position, He is going to give you strength and everything else you  need to succeed.

What I see from Trump is a pride, boundless optimism and a certainly of America’s greatness. He never fails to say how great America is and if you don’t think that about our country, perhaps you shouldn’t be here. Regardless of the struggles and issues, America is the greatest country in the world, especially when it comes to freedoms.

Though attempts have been made to cripple the economy, those have failed. When elected, Trump sees a robust economic recovery and wants to create 10 million jobs in 10 months and one million new small businesses.

He wants to cut taxes so that citizens have more take home pay and keep jobs in America. To do that he proposes Made in America Tax Credits and is rolling back regulations that cripple businesses.

He believes in the right to try experimental drugs as treatment for certain illnesses and that’s one of my pet peeves. I believe each of us personally responsible for our own health and we should have access to alternative treatments if that is our choice. Of course, Big Pharma will fight that will all of their money.

The President hopes to have a vaccine by the end of the year which will allow everyone to return to normal next year.  He will not mandate the vaccine but it will be for those who wish to take it. He also wants America to be more prepared for any future pandemics with refilled stockpiles .

“Normal” is different for everyone though and is a word I don’t really like to use and I won’t take the vaccine, but it should be my choice.

He has been vocal about ending our reliance on China. I saw a video where one family removed everything in their home that was not from China. Sadly, there was very little left. Trump wants that to change as it should. He would like to bring one million manufacturing jobs from China back to the United States and wants a ban on federal contracts for companies that outsource jobs to China. He also wants to hold China fully accountable for allowing the virus to spread around the world. In short, he wants to put America first.

He has already been working on price cuts for prescription drugs and will continue to do so in his next term, along with protecting Social Security and Medicare and end surprise billing in healthcare.

Trump wants to provide school choice to every child in America and ensure educators “teach American exceptionalism”.

One of his themes has been “drain the swamp” and if you are one of those who don’t believe it needs draining, well I don’t know what to say to you if you haven’t been watching the things that have been happening and still feel that way.

Trump wants Congressional term limits and I do too. We see too many career politicians becoming billionaires off the backs of the American people or making deals which puts money in their pockets and weakens our country.

He wants to expose Washington’s money trail and give power back to the people and the states.

He like me, defends the police and is for protecting them.  He believes Americans should be first and that immigrants should come to our country legally, not illegally.

The President would like to stop the endless wars and bring our troops home and get our allies to pay their fair share.  These are only a few of the things he is expected to highlight during the convention this week. All are items I can certainly get behind.
